Jean David Larson
Jean-David is Pugh Capital’s Chief Operating Officer. Jean-David joined the firm in February 2019 from Russell Investments where he led teams across multiple asset classes, geographies, and areas of corporate functions including as Chief of Staff to two of Russell’s recent CEOs. Jean-David joined Pugh Capital to lead the firm’s strategic planning, investment operations, compliance, finance, legal, technology, and human resources.
Jean-David has a depth of experience with US institutional investors and all major providers in their value chain. He has frequently spoken publicly and in private consultation with asset owners on topics such as fiduciary obligations, ESG investing, investment operations, and regulatory reform. Jean-David has actively worked with asset owners, policy makers, industry groups, and federal, state, and global regulators on these topics to help promote fair, efficient innovative, and competitive markets and to help encourage efforts to make financial services more inclusive and accessible. Jean-David has also chaired various industry working groups and has been an active buy-side participant in SIFMA, ICI, and other industry bodies.
Jean-David graduated from Duke University School of Law with a degree in law and a masters in international and comparative law, he received a BA in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he has studied at the University of Hong Kong and the London School of Economics.
