Marisa Grant

Chief Investment Officer

Marisa has over 25 years of experience and serves as Chief Investment Officer. Her primary responsibilities include market and macroeconomic research, asset allocation, risk management, and management of the Investment Team. She is a member of Pugh Capital’s Executive Management committee and chairs the Portfolio Management committee. She most recently served as the Chief Investment Officer of Montgomery County Public Schools Pension System (MCPS) where she was responsible for the strategic planning for the pension and defined contribution plans to position them for long-term success. She was responsible for asset allocation, risk management and oversight of the plan’s service providers.

Prior to her role at MCPS, Marisa held roles as a research analyst (both macroeconomic and equity) and in investment consulting at AllianceBernstein, Goldman Sachs, and Cambridge Associates. Marisa graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Economics and holds an MBA in Finance and Economics from Columbia Business School where she was a Robert Toigo Fellow and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Marisa sits on the Investment Committee for Seattle University.
