Ricky Kimalat, CFA, ASA
Ricky is a portfolio manager for the firm’s Long Duration product and has 15 years of experience in investments, asset/liability modeling and tailoring solutions for defined benefit plans. Ricky frequently contributes to Pugh Capital’s research publications on various market topics related to risk, Liability Driven Investing (LDI) and macroeconomic analysis. In addition, Ricky is responsible for research coverage of the Tobacco and Build America Bonds (BABs) sectors and co-chairs the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Pugh Capital, Ricky worked at Mercer Investment Consulting in the Financial Strategy Group, assisting plan sponsors manage and implement their growth assets and LDI strategies in the context of their pension liabilities. At Mercer, Ricky was a member of the LDI Committee, charged with developing intellectual capital in the LDI space. Ricky graduated from Bradley University with a B.S. in Mathematics. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a CFA charter holder.
