Ricky Kimalat, CFA, ASA
Ricky is a Portfolio Manager for the firm’s Long Duration product and has 16 years of experience in investments, asset/liability modeling, and tailoring solutions for defined benefit plans. Ricky frequently contributes to Pugh Capital’s intellectual capital through his quantitative research of issuers, industries, and the markets. His understanding of Liability Driven Investments (LDI) provides a valuable lens for the portfolio management team. In addition, Ricky is responsible for research coverage of the Build America Bonds (BABs) and Sovereign sectors. He also co-chairs the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Pugh Capital, Ricky worked at Mercer Investment Consulting in the Financial Strategy Group, assisting plan sponsors in managing and implementing their assets allocations and LDI strategies in the context of their pension liabilities. At Mercer, Ricky was a member of the LDI Committee, charged with developing intellectual capital in the LDI space. Ricky graduated from Bradley University with a B.S. in Mathematics. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a CFA charter holder.
